    Unique Article:

Patmos Hosting recently announced a significant milestone in securing a $100 million C-PACE loan from PACE Loan Group for their ambitious redevelopment project in Kansas City. The focus of this project is the transformation of the former Kansas City Star building into an AI-focused campus, covering a vast expanse of 421,112 square feet over four stories. This campus is strategically planned to cater to the needs of high-density GPU, HPC, and AI infrastructure companies, marking a significant step towards fostering innovation in the industry.

Construction of this cutting-edge campus commenced in late 2024, with Patmos Hosting aiming to complete the initial 5MW capacity in under 90 days. Following this, an additional 7MW is set to be added shortly thereafter. John Johnson, the visionary founder and CEO of the company, emphasized the importance of the C-PACE loan in enabling swift market delivery. The funds will be utilized to implement energy-efficient infrastructure improvements, aligning with Patmos’ commitment to sustainability and profitability while enhancing their competitive edge in the market.

The historic site at 1601 McGee Street in Kansas City holds immense potential for the creation of a vibrant multi-tenant technology hub. By repurposing nearly 150,000 square feet of space, Patmos is not only demonstrating their commitment to innovation but also their dedication to fostering a community-centric AI hub. Energy-efficient transformations are a top priority for the project, with funds allocated towards HVAC and plumbing upgrades scheduled for completion by March 2026.

Rafi Golberstein, CEO of PACE Loan Group, highlighted the financial synergy achieved through C-PACE, emphasizing the efficiency and long-term cost-effectiveness it brings to data centers. Robbie Pinkas echoed these sentiments, underscoring the prospective opportunities C-PACE presents for infrastructure projects like the one undertaken by Patmos. Positioned centrally in Kansas City, the site offers urban connectivity and utility infrastructure, making it an ideal location for hyperscale data centres.

The project is overseen by the Show Me PACE Clean Energy Development Board, showcasing Missouri’s commitment to supporting impactful initiatives through its C-PACE program. As Patmos Hosting embarks on this transformative journey, the integration of cutting-edge technology, energy-efficient infrastructure, and a community-centric approach sets the stage for a promising future in the realm of internet infrastructure and data hosting services.
