Flex’s Expansion in Europe to Meet Rising Demand for Data Center Power Solutions

Flex’s Critical Power Business, Anord Mardix, is making strategic moves to enhance its European operations and cater to the increasing demand for AI-driven power solutions. The recent acquisition of a new manufacturing site in Bielsko-Biała, Poland, has effectively doubled Flex’s power product capacity in Europe from 616,000 to 1,200,000 square feet. This expansion aligns with Flex’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of its customers and ensuring efficient data center power solutions.

The decision to expand in Poland is part of Flex’s global growth strategy, which includes investing in essential power and data center technologies to keep up with customer demand. The new Bielsko-Biała site is fully operational and employs over 700 skilled workers who will produce a wide range of grid-to-chip products, including Low Voltage/Medium Voltage (LV/MV) Switchgear, Power Pods, and Busway systems. Flex’s focus on next-generation power infrastructure reflects its dedication to enabling faster data center deployment at scale.

In addition to the expansion in Poland, Flex has opened a new critical power product manufacturing and assembly facility in Dallas, Texas, and made two significant acquisitions: Crown Technical Systems and JetCool Technologies. These strategic moves further enhance Flex’s data center power offerings and position the company as a key player in the industry. Chris Butler, president of Embedded and Critical Power at Flex, emphasized the importance of these investments in meeting the demands of rapid data center expansion worldwide.

The establishment of the new Polish site not only supports Flex’s global growth plan but also provides an opportunity for the workforce to contribute to the company’s innovative power solutions. With a commitment to expanding its manufacturing footprint in EMEA, Flex reaffirms its dedication to providing exceptional service and support in an era of accelerated technological advancement. The company’s focus on delivering next-generation power infrastructure underscores its mission to maximize computing performance and reduce deployment times for customers worldwide.
