Schneider Electric Launches New Solutions to Ensure Power Supply During Outages
In an effort to enhance power security and availability, Schneider Electric is introducing a range of offerings designed to maintain power supply in the event of an outage. These transfer switch solutions are aimed at reducing downtime and ensuring the continuous supply of power to buildings by seamlessly switching to emergency backup sources, such as generators or batteries, if the primary source fails.
By implementing these solutions, organisations can effectively maintain vital services, prevent business disruptions, and avoid potential financial losses by keeping essential equipment and operations running during power cuts. Schneider Electric’s new automatic transfer switch solutions include:
Acti9 Incoming Automatic Transfer Switch Kit
The Acti9 Incoming Automatic Transfer Switch Kit is a new addition to Schneider Electric’s Acti9 range. Equipped with TransferPacT Automatic, this kit provides transfer switching capabilities to an Acti 9 distribution board up to 125A. It features a bolt-on configuration, allowing for easy retrofitting onto existing Acti9 equipment. The kit is an off-the-shelf, ready-to-install solution that includes sensing inputs, monitoring, and control logic for seamless source change-over operations.
ASCO Single Way Bypass Transfer Switch
The ASCO Single Way Bypass Transfer Switch is a newly designed switch offering a single-way bypass arrangement. This allows primary power switches to be inspected, tested, and maintained without interrupting the power supply. With a current capacity rating from 32A to 400A and IP31 and IP55 ingress protection rating, the ASCO switch is suitable for various applications and conditions. The firefighting lift variant ensures critical applications can continue running efficiently in the event of a fire.
TransferPacT – 32A-1600A
The TransferPacT is an all-in-one transfer switch solution that now offers intelligent transfer switching capabilities between 32A-1600A. It provides automatic transfer switching as fast as 500ms and ensures best-in-class power availability even in extreme working environments. The design allows for flexible functionality expansion with swappable function modules and offers additional functions such as remote control, load shedding, generator control, and fire protection.
David Williams, Vice President for Transactional Business at Schneider Electric, emphasized the importance of increased power security and availability in today’s high-demand environment. He stated, “Our new transfer switch kits are designed to provide peace of mind so that in the event of a primary power source failure, it is easy and quick to transfer over to emergency sources, keeping vital equipment and operations up and running and minimizing the impact.”
With these innovative solutions, Schneider Electric is empowering organisations to proactively address power supply challenges and ensure uninterrupted operations during outages.
