Welcome Sam Wicks: A New Leader at Verne Data Centers
Bringing over a decade of experience in data center engineering and technical infrastructure, Sam Wicks is a valuable addition to the Verne team. Previously, he held the position of global infrastructure Technical Lead at Google, where he was instrumental in spearheading strategic programs to expand Google’s global capacity for cloud services. His role involved overseeing the design and implementation of key initiatives aimed at enhancing Google’s infrastructure.
Now, at Verne, Wicks is set to take on a new challenge as he leads the design efforts for Verne’s AI-ready data centers across the Nordic region. His approach will emphasize innovative design strategies, cost-effective construction methods, and flexibility to meet the ever-evolving needs of customers. Verne has always been at the forefront of high-intensity compute solutions, and Wicks’ strategic vision will further enhance the company’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and operational excellence.
