In a groundbreaking collaboration, leading software companies such as Asana, Atlassian, Block, PayPal, Sentry, and Stripe have joined forces with Cloudflare to introduce innovative AI experiences powered by Claude, Anthropic’s cutting-edge conversational AI assistant. This partnership aims to revolutionize how users interact with business software by enabling AI to seamlessly perform tasks across various applications on behalf of the user, eliminating the need to switch between tabs or platforms.

This significant shift is made possible through the use of Cloudflare Workers and the introduction of a new technical standard called MCP (Managed Component Protocol), developed by Anthropic. MCP allows AI assistants like Claude to directly connect to enterprise software platforms where crucial company data is stored. As a result, users can effortlessly issue voice or text commands to perform tasks such as sending emails, generating invoices, accessing analytics, or managing campaigns – tasks that previously required navigating through multiple tools and interfaces.

The integration of AI into business operations has become increasingly prevalent, with AI handling a wide range of tasks from writing emails to generating code. However, for AI to transition from a passive assistant to an active agent, it must be able to autonomously interact with the tools professionals use on a daily basis. This level of integration introduces complex challenges, particularly in areas such as security, latency, and global reliability.

Cloudflare is positioned as a key infrastructure provider in this transformative process. The company’s global network hosts and operates MCP servers that serve as bridges connecting AI assistants with business software. Cloudflare’s co-founder and CEO, Matthew Prince, emphasizes the company’s role in enabling the next generation of AI-driven user experiences. He highlights Cloudflare’s infrastructure as essential for businesses looking to scale agentic AI systems and create seamless, secure, and dependable AI interactions.

Mahesh Murag, Product Manager at Anthropic, underscores the technical difficulties involved in connecting AI tools to live enterprise data. He praises Cloudflare for accelerating MCP adoption and launching a network of remote servers, making it easier and safer for developers to connect their apps to Claude. This partnership addresses common challenges in enterprise AI adoption, such as building reliable integrations and ensuring secure data access.

Cloudflare offers a range of tools for setting up remote MCP servers quickly, allowing development teams to focus on enhancing user experience rather than dealing with backend complexities. The company’s services include authentication, authorization, agent permissions, and visibility into AI-driven activities. By simplifying deployment processes and guaranteeing secure, low-latency interactions, Cloudflare enables multinational corporations to develop advanced AI capabilities more efficiently and securely than ever before.

Through collaborations with Claude, Cloudflare is also introducing its own MCP servers, making it easier for users to create apps, build faster websites, and enhance network and website security. Developers can now interact with Claude to access logs, track and debug issues, eliminating the need to consult documentation or use observability tools provided by Cloudflare.

Overall, this partnership between leading software companies and Cloudflare represents a significant step forward in the integration of AI into business software, offering users a seamless and secure AI experience that enhances productivity and efficiency.
