In a strategic move to meet the growing demand for colocation and hybrid cloud solutions, Bulk Infrastructure has expanded its Oslo Internet Exchange (OS-IX) data center by adding three new data halls. This expansion significantly increases the facility’s capacity, making it one of Norway’s most interconnected data centers.

Bulk Infrastructure’s Chief Commercial Officer, Rob Elder, highlights the trend of enterprises and public organizations shifting towards secure, scalable, and highly connected data center solutions in central locations. This move is driven by the need for cost control, enhanced security, and compliance with data sovereignty regulations, prompting organizations to adopt hybrid cloud strategies.

Nordic IT solutions provider Intility is among the businesses benefiting from this trend, integrating public cloud services with data center platforms like OS-IX to meet the complex needs of over 600 businesses. Intility’s Head of Cloud Infrastructure, Erfan Mohammadi, emphasizes the importance of selecting reliable partners to ensure top-notch security, connectivity, and regulatory compliance for clients. Bulk Infrastructure’s investment in OS-IX’s expansion aligns with the evolving needs of Norway’s digital economy, positioning the data center to support long-term growth with enhanced infrastructure and connectivity.
