The expansion in Columbia is expected to create over 200 new jobs in Missouri upon completion. Agustin Lopez Diaz, Senior Vice President Global Supply Chain, North America at Schneider Electric, emphasized the importance of powering AI and energy infrastructure in the United States. He expressed gratitude for the partnership with Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe and highlighted the company’s commitment to supporting customers amidst unprecedented growth. Governor Kehoe, in turn, commended Schneider Electric for its significant investment in Missouri and underscored the state’s support for reputable businesses like Schneider Electric.
This Columbia expansion project is part of Schneider Electric’s broader U.S. investment strategy, which aims to bolster national energy security, boost domestic manufacturing, and reinforce the country’s energy and AI infrastructure. With a commitment to create over 1,000 new jobs nationwide, this investment represents the largest single capital expenditure in Schneider Electric’s history in the United States.
