Orca Computing, a quantum computing company based in the U.K., has teamed up with ParTec, a German developer specializing in high-performance computing and AI supercomputing, to provide advanced access to accelerated HPC and AI architectures.
Targeting Quantum-Enhanced AI Applications
The collaboration between Orca Computing and ParTec is focused on developing quantum-enhanced AI applications. By integrating Orca’s photonic quantum systems into ParTec’s AI Factory infrastructure, the partnership aims to explore new opportunities in sectors such as mobility, transport, aerospace, and satellite operations.
First Deployments at Major European Supercomputing Installations
The initial deployments resulting from this partnership will take place at two prominent European supercomputing installations: The Elbjuwel system at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf and the Vesuvio system at UniversitĂ degli Studi di Napoli Federico II. These installations are poised to become some of the largest supercomputers globally, showcasing the potential of quantum computing and AI integration.
