Cloudera recently unveiled the newest version of its Data Services, introducing Private AI capabilities directly into on-premise data centers. This advancement allows organizations to harness secure, GPU-accelerated generative AI features while upholding strict security measures within their own network.

Cloudera has made a significant announcement with the latest update to its Data Services, incorporating Private AI functionalities directly into on-premise data centers. This move enables companies to utilize secure, GPU-accelerated generative AI capabilities while ensuring stringent security measures within their firewall.

The introduction of Private AI functionalities at on-premise data centers comes at a crucial time when security concerns pose a significant obstacle to AI adoption. Accenture’s data indicates that 77% of organizations lack the necessary security practices to safeguard their critical models and infrastructure. Cloudera addresses these challenges head-on, facilitating a seamless transition from prototype to production.

The latest release underscores Cloudera’s capability to bring cloud-native services to both on-premise environments and the public cloud, streamlining data lifecycles and reducing infrastructure costs. Organizations now have the ability to deploy workloads swiftly, automate complex tasks, and enhance the effectiveness of their data teams, all while maintaining stringent security standards.

Included in this latest release are the Cloudera AI Inference Service and AI Studios, now accessible for on-premise data centers. These tools, previously exclusive to cloud platforms, play a pivotal role in overcoming barriers to AI adoption. They are designed to empower organizations to securely manage GenAI applications within their existing infrastructure.

The Cloudera AI Inference Service, enhanced by NVIDIA technologies, offers embedded microservice functionalities to simplify the management of large-scale AI models within secure premises. Meanwhile, Cloudera AI Studios leverages low-code templates to facilitate the development and deployment of GenAI applications, democratizing the AI software lifecycle.

A recent study conducted by Forrester Consulting highlights the significant benefits for enterprises that adopt Cloudera’s on-premise solutions, including an 80% faster workload deployment, a 20% increase in productivity for data practitioners and platform teams, and substantial cost savings resulting from a modern architectural framework.

Sanjeev Mohan, an industry analyst, emphasized the historical challenges faced by enterprises in running AI on-premises and stressed the importance of solutions that streamline AI adoption without compromising on security. Leo Brunnick, Cloudera’s Chief Product Officer, described the release as a significant advancement in data modernization, transitioning from monolithic clusters to agile, containerized applications while maintaining a cloud-native experience without sacrificing control.
