EcoDataCenter is strategically selling three of its data centers to CapMan Infra’s data center platform. The company is focusing on planning, constructing, and managing large data center complexes as part of its long-term strategy.
In order to streamline operations and focus on larger campus projects, EcoDataCenter has decided to sell its data centers in Stockholm and Piteå, which were acquired in 2019 and 2020 respectively, following a strategic evaluation.
“This sale marks a significant milestone for EcoDataCenter as we shift our focus to our core strengths of building and operating large data centers for cloud and AI applications,” said Peter Michelson, CEO of EcoDataCenter. “We are committed to expanding our company and strengthening our position to meet the growing demand for advanced data centers.”
Expansion of Data Center Platform: Kolo DC
“We see great potential in the Swedish market and are excited to acquire these high-quality data centers,” said Harri Halonen, partner at CapMan Infra. “We will continue to enhance the facilities and support the increasing need for data center capacity and sustainable infrastructure solutions in the Nordic region through our expanding data center platform, soon to be known as Kolo DC.”
“CapMan Infra is the perfect partner to maximize the potential of these facilities,” added Peter Michelson. “This agreement also allows us to accelerate our large campus projects in Borlänge and Falun.”
The deal is expected to be finalized in the second quarter of 2025, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
