Enhancing HyperCore: Scale Computing Introduces Self-Healing Virtualization and Edge AI Capabilities

Scale Computing, a leading provider of edge computing solutions, has introduced new enhancements to its SC//HyperCore virtualization platform. This platform integrates servers, virtualization, and SAN storage into a single appliance, simplifying the implementation of edge computing for organizations. SC//HyperCore features self-healing capabilities, ensuring applications remain online automatically, reducing IT complexity and costs.

Major updates to SC//HyperCore include Enhanced Node Lifecycle Management, allowing seamless addition, replacement, or removal of nodes without disrupting workloads.

Scale Computing’s Vice President of Product Management, Craig Theriac, emphasizes the importance of providing innovative infrastructure solutions to meet the evolving needs of organizations. The latest enhancements in SC//HyperCore support automation, infrastructure scalability, and efficient management, enabling users to run advanced inferencing workloads at the edge effectively.

New features in SC//HyperCore include agentless backup integration with Veeam, usability enhancements like VM console text pasting, and improved REST APIs for developer support.

SC//HyperCore now offers Terraform support for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automates VM lifecycle and resource management. The platform accommodates both legacy and modern workloads, including AI/ML, facilitating real-time decision-making at the edge.

By consolidating hypervisors, storage, and backup into a single solution, SC//HyperCore eliminates the need for multiple vendors, providing a cost-effective and efficient edge computing solution.

Acumera’s recent acquisition of Scale Computing has further strengthened their expertise in edge computing, setting a new standard in the industry.
