Infineon Technologies’ OPTIGA Trust M security solution has been incorporated into Thistle Technologies’ secure edge AI solution to provide protection for AI models and training data in edge AI applications. The collaboration aims to enhance security for device makers, offering hardware-based protection for AI models and data.
Infineon Technologies’ OPTIGA Trust M security solution is now integrated into Thistle Technologies‘ secure edge AI solution to protect AI models and training data in edge AI applications.
The Thistle Security Platform for devices provides cloud-managed security blocks of pre-validated hardware and secure boot for Linux OS-based devices and microcontrollers to support over-the-air (OTA) updates.
To safeguard against tampering, the OPTIGA Trust M offers key storage, secured key provisioning, and cryptographic operations to ensure only trusted AI models are utilized.
“Infineon is excited to expand our partnership with Thistle Technologies to provide enhanced protection for AI models operating at the edge,” states Animesh Ranjan, head of partnerships & ecosystem at Infineon. “By combining the OPTIGA Trust M security solution with the Thistle Security Platform, we empower device manufacturers to secure their AI with hardware-based security that is both practical and scalable.”
Secure edge AI features include hardware-backed model encryption, secure model provenance for over-the-air updates, and signed data with provenance metadata.
The platform facilitates factories in implementing scalable, hardware-based security in a simple and efficient manner.
Infineon and Thistle Technologies are dedicated to making robust security accessible to device manufacturers, bolstering protection for AI models and data.
