Megaport has recently announced its acquisition of Latitude.sh, a renowned global provider of Compute-as-a-Service known for its high-performance CPU and GPU infrastructure on demand. This strategic move aims to combine Megaport’s private network with Latitude.sh’s compute resources, enabling quick deployment and workload linking across over 1,000 data centers in 26 countries on a global scale. The collaboration is set to penetrate traditional compute markets and expand into AI infrastructure and inference markets.

The partnership between Megaport and Latitude.sh is poised to revolutionize the compute landscape by offering dedicated CPUs and GPUs on demand within a top-tier Network-as-a-Service platform. Gui Soubihe, CEO of Latitude.sh, expressed excitement about the synergy, stating, “The combination of Latitude.sh’s optimized compute with Megaport’s global high-speed network will establish a cutting-edge globally automated Infrastructure-as-a-Service platform.”

Latitude.sh provides a user-friendly compute platform with developer-friendly APIs, pay-per-use billing, and rapid dispatch times as short as five seconds.

This integrated platform will empower enterprises to leverage distributed computing for seamless interconnection of their compute environments with cloud services, partners, and customers worldwide.

Megaport, a leading hybrid and AI-driven infrastructure service provider, caters to organizations of all sizes. The acquisition is expected to be finalized by December 31, 2025, pending standard approvals.

Megaport and Latitude.sh are committed to developing a modern, globally automated infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) platform that will set new industry standards.

Insights from Structure Research analyst Philbert Shih: With the acquisition of Latitude.sh, Megaport has significantly enhanced its value proposition and solidified its position in the cloud infrastructure market. By expanding into compute services, Megaport can offer a broader range of solutions to customers, fostering platform loyalty and differentiation. With a vast global network and direct access to essential computing platforms, Megaport is well-positioned to deliver unparalleled flexibility and choice to its clientele.
