    Article:
Thermal management systems manufacturer Modine is making a significant investment of more than $38 million to enhance its production facilities for data center chillers in Grenada, Mississippi. This strategic move reflects Modine’s commitment to meeting the rising global demand for high-performance data center cooling solutions. The project, expected to be completed by the end of 2028, will not only upgrade one of Modine’s existing facilities but also create more than 450 new job opportunities in the region.

Neil D. Brinker, President and CEO of Modine, emphasized that this expansion is a direct response to the increasing demand from their data center customers. The company aims to reposition its product portfolio for long-term growth, especially in high-demand sectors like hyperscale and co-location data centers. The investment in Grenada, Mississippi will also support the extension of the product line for Airedale by Modine chillers and enhance the company’s advanced testing infrastructure.

Eric McGinnis, President of Modine’s Climate Solutions division, highlighted the global impact of the project, stating that it significantly scales their manufacturing footprint for Airedale by Modine solutions. With facilities in Canada, Spain, and the UK, and a new plant in India on the horizon, Modine is well-positioned to meet mission-critical cooling requirements on a global scale. The Airedale brand offers a wide range of cooling technologies tailored for data centers, including high-efficiency chillers, precision air conditioning units, modular fan walls, and intelligent airflow management systems.

Art Laszlo, Group Vice President for Data Centers at Modine, emphasized the company’s customer-centric approach, stating that they collaborate closely with data center operators to address their most complex thermal challenges with scalable, intelligent solutions. As global data traffic and energy consumption from digital infrastructure continue to rise, Modine’s investment underscores the industry’s shift towards resilient and efficient cooling technologies to meet the growing demand for hyperscale data centers.
