In a recent development, Pulsant has invested £10 million in a new high-density data hall at their Milton Keynes site, boosting power by 1.2MW to cater to AI and other compute-intensive tasks. This expansion is aimed at meeting the growing demand for high-density deployments, particularly in sectors like finance, healthcare, IT, and gaming.

The Milton Keynes location is strategically positioned outside of London, offering low latency to key areas such as London Docklands and Slough. This move reflects a broader trend of companies seeking alternatives to the congested and limited data center market in the capital. Pulsant’s network connectivity across 14 data centers in the UK further enhances the facility’s appeal, boasting 400Gb-capable infrastructure.

Situated in the thriving Oxford-Cambridge corridor, Pulsant’s data center in Milton Keynes taps into a region known for its knowledge-intensive growth. With a strong local tech ecosystem and support from civic and investment bodies, the area presents a compelling option for businesses seeking high-performance computing solutions. CEO Rob Coupland emphasized the importance of addressing the increasing demand for AI-ready capacity outside of London, providing clients with a flexible and resilient alternative for their data center needs.
