A Showing of Solidarity
Peter Walthall, a dedicated Project Manager at Riello UPS for over a decade, has shown remarkable resilience in continuing his work despite his illness. This trek is a gesture of solidarity with Peter, a lifelong Port Vale supporter who has been following the team for more than 50 years.
An Inspiring Journey
The Riello UPS team will undertake this challenging walk over two days, with a camp overnight. Colleagues, friends, and family of Peter will join in a ‘Riello UPS Relay’ along the route to show their support. The trek will culminate in a celebration at Vale Park during Port Vale’s home game against Mansfield Town.
Branches Joining In
Other Riello UPS branches across the country, including those in Letchworth, Fareham, and Cumbernauld, are also participating in the fundraising efforts. Each branch has set up treadmills to cover the same distance as the main trek.
Gratitude and Support
Leo Craig, the Managing Director of Riello UPS Ltd, expresses his gratitude for the support shown to Peter and his family by the MND Association. He acknowledges the vital role the charity plays in assisting families affected by MND and praises their resilience in the face of adversity.
Community Collaboration
The collaboration between Riello UPS, the MND Association, and Port Vale Football Club in organizing this trek showcases the power of community support. By raising awareness and funds for MND, the team aims to make a meaningful impact and honor Peter’s dedication to the sport.
