The revamped SP2 and SD2 by Riello UPS have been designed to offer enhanced reliability and flexibility compared to their predecessors, the SEP and SDH series launched in 2011. The key highlight of these upgraded models is the inclusion of a unity output power factor (pf1), which significantly boosts their operating efficiency up to 93.7%. Additionally, both series now feature new front panels that have been specifically designed to enhance ventilation and overall performance.
Catering to the needs of IT systems, networks, medical equipment, and sensitive industrial applications, the SP2 is available in five different power ratings ranging from 700 to 3000 VA. For applications that require extended battery autonomy, the SP2 offers Extended Runtime (ER) versions in the 1000, 2200, and 3000 VA models. The compact design and low noise levels of the SP2 make it suitable for environments where space is limited.
Similarly, the Sentinel Dual2 (SD2) replaces the SDH series and is available in power ratings of 1000, 1500, 2200, or 3000 VA. The SD2 features an increased online UPS efficiency of up to 93.7%, helping users optimize energy consumption and reduce emissions. Its versatile installation options include a freestanding tower or a 2U rackmounted version, making it suitable for various environments such as small data centers, IT networks, electro-medical systems, VoIP telephone systems, and emergency lighting solutions.
Notable enhancements of the SD2 include a redesigned front panel and user-friendly configuration options via a new Bluetooth-powered smartphone app or computer. Leo Craig, the Managing Director of Riello UPS Ltd, has emphasized the user benefits of the new SP2 and SD2 models, highlighting their enhanced efficiency, reliability, and user-friendly features.
