Telehouse Thailand and National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT) have joined forces to enhance Thailand’s international connectivity through submarine cable systems. This collaboration directly links NT’s extensive cable network to Telehouse Bangkok, the leading carrier-neutral interconnection facility in the country, which is now fully operational.
The partnership allows Telehouse Thailand to offer seamless access to two major international systems, the Asia Direct Cable (ADC) and the Asia America Gateway (AAG), to domestic content providers and regional ISPs. The ADC route connects various Asian countries, while the AAG extends connectivity across the Pacific to the United States, bridging some of the world’s largest digital economies.
NT’s domestic submarine cable system complements this setup by providing alternative routing through Thailand’s Gulf coast to international cable landing stations in Songkhla and Satun. This design enhances resilience, ensuring reliable access for public and private sector organizations across multiple regions.
This collaboration not only benefits enterprises but also supports Thailand’s national strategy to establish itself as an ASEAN Digital Hub. The improved connectivity is expected to accelerate digital transformation in Southeast Asia, attracting foreign investment and enabling businesses to leverage the growth of artificial intelligence and cloud services.
Colonel Sanpachai Huvanandana, President of NT, emphasized the importance of this partnership in enhancing Thailand’s telecommunications readiness in the AI era. Ken Miyashita, Managing Director of Telehouse Thailand, highlighted the operational advantages for customers, ensuring high service availability for enterprises and service providers. Overall, this collaboration signifies Thailand’s commitment to building robust digital infrastructure that can compete globally and serve as a gateway for the wider Southeast Asian region.
