The collaboration between Telehouse Thailand and NT is a significant development for Thailand’s telecommunications landscape, enhancing international data transmission capabilities through submarine cable systems. By integrating NT’s international submarine cable network with Telehouse Bangkok’s facility, this partnership provides easy access to the Asia Direct Cable (ADC) and Asia America Gateway (AAG) systems for domestic content providers and ISPs in neighboring countries.
The ADC network facilitates connectivity across key regions such as China, Hong Kong, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, catering to major cloud and content providers. Additionally, the AAG network extends connectivity from Asia to the United States, linking global economies.
NT’s domestic submarine cable system, coupled with international cable landing stations in Songkhla and Satun, offers reliable global reach across multiple regions. This collaboration not only benefits private enterprises but also supports Thailand’s vision to become an ASEAN Digital Hub, fostering digital transformation and global investment opportunities in Southeast Asia.
Colonel Sanpachai Huvanandana, President of NT, highlighted the potential of this collaboration in enhancing Thailand’s telecommunications readiness in the AI era, emphasizing the terabit-scale capacity and high-reliability network design. Ken Miyashita, Managing Director of Telehouse Thailand, emphasized the importance of leveraging NT’s submarine cable network to efficiently manage data traffic from Gen AI and cloud services, positioning Telehouse as Bangkok’s leading carrier-neutral interconnection data center.
