Siemens, Cadolto, and Legrand have introduced a next-generation modular edge data center, designed for speed, scalability, and sustainability.
The solution is a fully integrated, plug-and-play data center that can be configured, installed, expanded, and relocated quickly, with planning cycles of 6-12 months.
Siemens acts as the exclusive technology partner, integrating energy systems, building automation, and offering flexible financing options.
The modular data center supports a range of IT demands, from basic workloads to high-performance AI applications, and is suitable for both permanent and temporary use.
“With digital transformation accelerating across every industry, our customers need infrastructure that moves as fast as they do,” says Ciaran Flanagan, Global Head of Data Center Solutions & Services at Siemens AG. “This solution offers all the performance of a traditional data center, but with the agility to scale quickly, tailored to our customers’ specific needs. When ramping up capacity, it’s just a case of plugging it in.”
Prefabricated modules are customizable, energy-efficient, and reduce CO₂ emissions by 30% during construction, with a 90% recycling rate.
The system is ideal for industries such as pharmaceuticals, automotive, and disaster recovery, offering “IT-ready” rental models for fast deployment without upfront investment. The solution debuted at Data Center World Frankfurt last week.
