Shield AI and Parry Labs have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on integrating Shield AI’s Hivemind software with Parry Labs’ STRATIA software and edge-compute hardware. This partnership aims to enhance autonomous edge systems for the Department of Defense, focusing on improving decision-making speed and operational resilience in challenging environments.

Shield AI and Parry Labs have agreed to a MoU working together to integrate Shield AI’s Hivemind software with Parry Labs’ STRATIA software and edge-compute hardware.

The companies’ partnership is focused on accelerating the delivery of next-generation autonomy and edge computing to warfighters by allowing a clear focus on critical tasks, speeding decisions, and building resilience for operations in degrading or denied environments.

The collaboration is congruent with the Autonomy-Enabled Ground Reference Architecture (A-GRA), and emphasizes scalable, open and interoperable mission autonomy for U.S. services and its allies.

“Integrating Hivemind with Parry Labs’ digital-engineering and edge-infrastructure capabilities allows us to deliver mission autonomy to new platforms faster,” says Tom Schaefer, vice president of Hivemind Engineering at Shield AI. “This partnership expands the reach of our autonomy architecture across services and missions, providing operators with a trusted, interoperable foundation for operations in GPS- and comms-denied environments.”

The integrated technologies are designed to drive mission autonomy in GPS and communication-denied environments.
