Nokia’s Optical Transport Technology Enhances EXA Infrastructure’s Network Capabilities

EXA Infrastructure, a London-based company specializing in cutting-edge infrastructure solutions, has selected Nokia’s optical transport technology to enhance its global network capabilities. The upgrade to a 1.2T-per-channel network will cater to the increasing demand for affordable and efficient data center connections, particularly between major data centers.

EXA Infrastructure is known for providing essential infrastructure that supports economic growth and digital expansion. Their offerings include hyperscale infrastructure, high-bandwidth networks, and mission-critical services for businesses and governments. With a network spanning 155,000 km across 37 countries, including the lowest-latency connection between Europe and North America, EXA Infrastructure is a key player in the industry.

The decision to implement Nokia’s high-performance 1.2T coherent optical transport solution was driven by the success of the ICE7 solution’s trial in Europe. This upgrade will enable EXA Infrastructure to deliver high-capacity services to its customers at a competitive cost, while also minimizing power consumption per bit.

Rising Bandwidth Demands Addressed
