    Article:

At the recent Global Data Center Facility Summit 2025 in Dubai, Huawei made a significant impact by unveiling its cutting-edge AI Data Center solution. This unveiling marked a pivotal moment in the world of intelligent computing, setting the stage for a new era of technology advancement. The theme of the event, ‘Power the Digital Era Forward,’ brought together over 500 industry leaders, technical experts, and partners to delve into the emerging opportunities and growth trajectories in the data center industry as it embraces the power of AI.

During his opening remarks at the summit, Charles Yang, Senior Vice President at Huawei and President of Global Marketing, Sales, and Services at Huawei Digital Power, highlighted the soaring demand for computing infrastructure driven by the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence. Yang predicted that the global AI Data Center capacity would soar to nearly 100 GW by 2028, with the associated energy infrastructure industry projected to surpass a value of $600 billion. However, he also pointed out the key obstacles hindering the development of AI Data Centers, including increased energy demands, faster deployment requirements, and heightened reliability expectations.

In response to these challenges, Huawei introduced a series of strategic innovations aimed at bolstering the reliability, speed, and energy efficiency of AI Data Centers. The company emphasized the importance of enhancing data center reliability through architectural upgrades, such as isolated power supply systems that significantly enhance power supply dependability. To expedite the deployment of AI Data Centers, Huawei advocated for modular and prefabricated designs like the Outdoor PowerPOD, which features a fully decoupled architecture to reduce time-to-market significantly. Additionally, Huawei focused on optimizing energy efficiency through initiatives like campus photovoltaic development, direct green power integration, and AI-based performance tuning.

Bob He, Vice President of Huawei Digital Power and President of its Data Center Facility & Critical Power Product Line, emphasized the need for AI Data Centers to prioritize reliability, flexibility, and sustainability. Huawei’s RAS model underpins these principles, focusing on total cost of ownership, agile delivery, and elastic scalability. Reliability is ensured through multi-layered protections, flexibility is achieved via a modular power system, and sustainability is addressed through highly energy-efficient systems like the UPS5000-H.

In addition to launching its AI Data Center solution, Huawei collaborated with industry leaders to release a white paper focused on the safety of lithium-ion batteries in data centers. This collaborative effort aims to set new standards for safety and reliability across the sector. By combining strong engineering expertise, extensive industry relationships, and a strategic vision for sustainability and scalability, Huawei is positioning itself as a key player in AI infrastructure. The company’s commitment to providing quick deployment, high reliability, low operating costs, and flexibility underscores its dedication to helping businesses navigate the challenges of the AI age seamlessly.
