Supermicro recently announced an expansion in manufacturing capacity and liquid-cooling capabilities through a strategic collaboration with NVIDIA. This move aims to support the delivery of data centre-scale solutions optimized for the NVIDIA Vera Rubin and Rubin platforms. Supermicro’s accelerated development and efficient collaboration with NVIDIA enable the swift deployment of cutting-edge systems like the NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 and NVIDIA HGX Rubin NVL8, enhancing the AI infrastructure for customers. The Data Centre Building Block Solutions (DCBBS) approach streamlines production and customization, giving customers a competitive edge in next-generation technology.

Driven by accelerated development and efficient collaboration with NVIDIA, Supermicro is positioned to swiftly deploy the NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 and NVIDIA HGX Rubin NVL8 systems. Its Data Centre Building Block Solutions (DCBBS) approach is designed to streamline production and extensive customisation, providing customers with a competitive edge in next-generation AI infrastructure.

Flagship Products:

  • NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 SuperCluster: This rack-scale system integrates 72 NVIDIA Rubin GPUs and 36 NVIDIA Vera CPUs, along with NVIDIA-enhanced networking components. It is capable of delivering 3.6 exaflops NVFP4 performance with 1.4 PB/s bandwidth, leveraging the third-generation NVIDIA MGX rack architecture. Supermicro’s implementation includes data centre-scale liquid-cooling with in-row Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs), minimising energy usage and maximising operational efficiency.
  • 2U Liquid-cooled NVIDIA HGX Rubin NVL8 Systems: A compact system designed for AI and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads, incorporating liquid-cooling technology to support performance and efficiency. With 400 petaflops NVFP4 and extensive bandwidth capabilities, this system supports x86 CPUs from Intel or AMD.

Supermicro states that the NVIDIA Vera Rubin Platform offers the following key features:
