By incorporating these enhancements, the CoolPhase Perimeter PAM range has seen improvements in Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). These improvements allow data centers to prolong system lifespan while maintaining operational robustness.
The updated system now includes the Vertiv EconoPhase Pumped Refrigerant Economizer (PRE) integrated into the CoolPhase Condenser. This technology reduces energy consumption by optimizing free cooling and system reliability using a low-power pumped refrigerant circuit instead of traditional compressors, ultimately saving space and energy.
The CoolPhase Perimeter PAM range utilizes R-513A refrigerant, which has a significantly lower Global Warming Potential compared to R-410A. This choice ensures non-flammability, low toxicity, and compliance with the EU F-Gas Regulation, making it an eco-friendly option for data center operators seeking to reduce carbon emissions without compromising performance.
Key features of the CoolPhase Perimeter PAM include variable speed compressors, staged coil technology, patented filters, and integration with CoolPhase Condenser units via the Liebert iCOM control system. This integration aims to provide intelligent optimization of performance, flexibility, and efficiency.
